12 Dec She Just Wanna Have a Good Day
It’s about that time for me, when I decide what I’m bringing with me into the new year. December is a very cleansing month for me. I try my best to let of anything that is no longer serving me (clothing, shoes, people, clutter in my space) to create room for the new blessings that I am expecting.
I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions but I am when it comes to my personal new year: my birthday.
Last year, my friends threw me a vision board party followed by a French-themed dinner of roasted chicken and frites—not to be stereotypical, but it’s. so. good.—and then a night with New York’s tallest pole.
I want to get a head start now and get ready for all the good I know 28 has waiting for me.
The other day I found myself insanely jealous of someone’s blog. Like, legit jealous. And when I really thought about it, she wasn’t doing anything that I hadn’t been doing, she just was consistent.
I needed to get my life. And put these things into action instead of getting jealous when I see someone else doing something I want to do.
And so, here we are.
I’m getting my life together. I’m figuring out what I want versus having my hand in everything. While that isn’t a bad thing, I’m an ideas person. I know that I’m creative and I have a lot of good, interesting ideas. I just need to rein it in. And actually start working on these things one idea at a time.
When I was working with my life coach, she would ask me to describe my ideal day. I’m using that as the basis for my updated vision book. And like a certain fellow, Young Thug, said, “She just wanna have a good day…”
And Lord, if that day also permits me to spend time at Chris Burch’s Hampton home (where I am in this post), I’ll gladly make room for that now.
TURN IT!
Have you started on your 2015 vision board/books yet? I’ve been thinking about doing an updated video showing mine, would you be interested in that?
p.s. This weather has me in my feelings and I just realized I never posted this pictures after a trip to Chris Burch’s Hampton’s home with C. Wonder and Glossybox. So I guess #FBF?

Posted at 14:26h, 12 DecemberI’ve been meaning to do a vision board for ages but lost the motivation to do one. Then I was watching Steve Harvey talk about his on Oprah’s Master Class and decided that I should do one for 2015.

Posted at 17:34h, 14 DecemberI haven’t started mine, but I want to add some new pages for the New Year. Also, I would love to see an updated version of your vision book. I can’t wait to see what has changed since the last video.
