21 Mar If I Can Make It Here, I Can Make It Anywhere
On Thursday, I packed up my pink suitcase and boarded the train to New York City.
The next day I was meeting with the online programming department for Centrictv.com. I was so nervous when I walked into the Viacom building, and especially after I stepped on the elevator into the black hallway with BET written on the walls.
Once in the meeting, I felt right at home. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was nervous for absolutely no reason. It felt so good to be around such creative people who had already achieved so much but were still so grounded.
I said a prayer right then and there. I was so grateful to be a part of the experience. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and super friendly! I look forward to seeing them again.
Afterwards, one of my best friends (who accompanied me to the building) and I set out to go visit one of our other best friends who works for O magazine. And let me tell you, just being in the Hearst building was inspiring.
Then, one of my BBFs and I decided we shouldn’t waste this gorgeous weather and should explore the city. We ventured through Times Square for memories sake before heading to Canal Street.
Guess who I met at Toys R US?!
My boo, Optimus Prime. Have you ever seen Transformers? He’s the one all the other transformers (and Sam!) look to for guidance. Don’t you just love a man in a position of power?! I know I do 🙂
Friday was such a perfect and inspiring day for me. I hated that it had to end. I was really sad waiting to board my train to come home.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
