On my last day in New York, I ventured with one of my best friends to find Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment. The actual stoop that was used in the show is in The Village, far from her supposed neighborhood in the series.  We of course needed to document this important moment but there was only one thing stopping us- the chain with the no trespassing sign across the bottom of the stoop.

We hopped the chain for a quick photo op, and even inspired a couple of other Sex in The City fans that were put off by the chain.

It definitely felt like Carrie’s neighborhood. I could picture her dashing down the stairs in sky-high heels to meet the girls for drinks or even Big’s car idling outside waiting for her with balloons.

I wish we took more pictures.
