Kanye West tweeted Tuesday morning that this picture was inspiring. Yes, you are seeing correct, it is a women’s shoe, and Kanye is, in fact, inspired by it.

I have often wondered what made this man tick and where he gets his sense of style. Cassius Clay gets it. West spotted Clay, actually, his shoes, in Barney’s. Kanye liked the shoes that Cassius was wearing that he complimented him. The two get to chatting, one things leads to another, and now the 19-year-old Yale sophmore is West’s stylist.

This is the kid that is responsible for Kanye wearing a Lanvin women’s blazer. So maybe, just maybe, Kanye really is inspired by a women’s shoe.
