06 Mar If I Ever Get Married…
My wedding party will embody all of the style and elegance in this picture.
That’s my great-grandmother Marzella Russell seated in the center and that’s my great-grandfather Robert behind her on their wedding day in 1932.
My great-grandparents Marzella and Robert were married for 60 years until my great-grandfather passed away in 1992 at the age of 94.
60 years?! Can you imagine? I hope to be so blessed.
Sigh. I have a slight obsession with weddings. While I am nowhere close to planning my own, I do have a few ideas. And most of all, I hope to be a beautiful bride like my great-grandmother.
I wish I could have known her now as an adult. She would have loved me, and my love for accessories, I’m sure. She could have taken me to buy my first red lipstick.
She was wearing that red in the photo above wasn’t she? I bet she wore bright red lips in the daytime just because!
