Perfectly Polished: Chanel Coco Blue

Perfectly Polished: Chanel Coco Blue

I am pleased to announce that my gel nails held up a week and a couple days. They looked just as good as I the day I got them done, except for the gap of new growth at the bottom of my nails.

And that just irked my soul. So I peeled them off (which you aren’t supposed to do) and reapplied the gel basecoat and topcoat with regular nail polish in between (which I assume you aren’t supposed to do because when I asked the PR rep who originally told me about the product, I didn’t get a response).

Clearly, I struggle with following directions but I would say the results are well worth it.

Chanel’s Coco Blue– part of the limited edition Fashion’s Night Out release– got the Red Carpet treatment

I know most polish addicts are gearing up for their fall and much darker colors but I’m being a bit of a rebel. This is really pretty blue and I can’t stop staring at it.

Especially because it’s so shiny with the gel topcoat. That was the major selling point to me with Red Carpet Manicure, how long the shine lasted on my nails.

In fact, your nails don’t get dull until you buff if off before correctly removing the gels. I am really glad that regular polish works with the gel base and top coat because I have wayy to many nail polishes to forsake them for the gel ones Red Manicure makes.

It was really easy, and not at all different from giving myself a regular manicure.

I’m pleased. Have you seen Red Carpet Manicure in Ulta yet? You should give it a looksy. Especially now, that we know you can use regular nail polish with the system.

Gel nails made easy, I love it.
