17 Mar The Recap: Channing in the City’s Two-Year Anniversary Soiree
#Chans2YearSoiree was better than I could have ever imagined. It was well worth all of the stress and hard work to see some of my favorite people from different parts of my world all seamlessly collide together Thursday evening inBoConcept.
Though, Hpnotiq definitely helped the evening flow making sure everyone was having a good time. Are you ready for the pictures? There are tons thanks toBayyina Black, my super talented photographer.
I sparkled the whole night courtesy of the Dpipertwins who outfitted me in aKastle Designs dress and Treasure Chest earrings. My nails were NCLA wraps in Gold Dust topped with Milani Gold Gems.
Jessica C. Andrews of Glamazons Blog was the perfect host, she is so fun and bubbly–I swear she didn’t stop dancing the whole night.
But speaking of dancing…
The nail bars courtesy of Polish Bar Brooklyn and Nail Taxi NYC were big hits with the ladies–and the fellas, hehe.
Christina of LoveBrownSugar.com and Misha of TheFabChick.com
Guests had the opportunity to shop jewelry bars thanks to Yumnah Najah’s hand painted designs and Iran Ortiz of Endless Noise NYC. I just love seeing girls follow their dreams, so inspiring…

I would have to say though, that the best part of the night was seeing all of my favorite people enjoying themselves in the same space.
My cousin and her husband
My Godmom and her husband, who is a dedicated Channing in The City reader!
Akua Harris of The Style Qween and Jessica C. Andrews
Alicia Criner of thechampangebeauty.com and Jessica C. Andrews of Glamazons Blog
Stephanie and Arianna
The Dpipertwins and I
Me, my boo, and those delish Hpnotiq cupcakes
My new friend, Stanford Smith, he came out even on his birthday!
I finally got to meet Thamar of BilliDollarBaby.com
The Boy, the one who started it all with a picture, made an appearance 🙂
I gave my thank-you speech at the end of the night with my brother as my hype man. What? Isn’t that how you give your thank-yous?
Those Hargroves know how to party if I may say so myself. Need further proof? Watch me make it rain on my mom.
Before we sent everyone on their way, we were sure to send them off with goodies from Popchips, OPI, NCLA, Juicy Magazine, Hpnotiq, Endless Noise NYC, Yumnah Najah Designs, and BoConcept.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned additional MP3 gamers over time than I can count, together with Sansas, iRivers, iPods (basic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few decades I’ve settled down to one line of players.
