18 Mar A Little Spring in my Step
Somebody lied, (I’m not a star–quick name that Rick Ross song!) I thought Spring was on the way? Isn’t that what that groundhog said? We had that nice little teaser here in the city last weekend, the weather was perfect. I layered up and barely needed a coat. This weekend, however, different story. But I’m still itching for Spring. So I’ve started incorporating a bit of coming season’s trends into my look.
Last week I ventured to Harlem to go to Target. That was an experience. I mentioned when I was in there I saw as sorts of cute things that I wanted to wear this Spring. A jumpsuit that I didn’t get but still think about, so that means I probably should have. The polka dot shirt that I wore with sequins. And this baby: a high low skirt. I’ve been debating if I thought this trend was for me.
I thought it might make me look evener shorter, if possible, so I steered clear, until I saw one of the girls at work who is pretty close to my height rocking one. I thought of her as soon as I saw this skirt and put it in my cart. I think once it warms up this will be so cute with chunky heels, a white t-shirt and a ton, I mean a ton, of jewelry.
But for now, I’ll layer up with a long sleeved tee and a faux fur vest. Like my fur on fur action?
Oh, and p.s. I took this pictures on the balcony in my apartment. I wasn’t ready to brave all the stares from the moms and nannies at the playground that I went to last time to get pictures. I’m going to be brave and just start dragging my tripod everywhere to do my pictures, this city is too pretty to not take advantage of. But the view from my apartment is one of the reasons that my roommate and I call our home, Baby Paris. Isn’t she lovely?
What are you excited to wear this Spring?
It’s Time for Springtime.
p.s. Compensation was provided by Target via Glam Media. But I am ready to have another high-low moment, really soon.

Posted at 10:09h, 18 MarchIt DOES look like Paris! It must be so nice to have that view on top of actually living in NYC. The hi-lo skirt looks really great on you, especially with the printed booties. I’m not sure I could pull either off, but you nailed it. Also, I SO relate about the tripod: I see people around Atlanta taking pictures of themselves with the best urban scenes as background… but I’m just not that brave!

Posted at 00:38h, 19 MarchIt is really nice. I feel really blessed, I heard all sorts of horror stories about first apartments. Thanks, Erica! I think the height from the heels helps. We’re going to work on being that brave, and pretend that we are super important, and get those pictures!

Between me and my husband we have owned far more MP3 players over time than I can count, which include Sansas, iRivers, iPods (common & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few many years I’ve settled down to one line of gamers.
