I play this game with myself some times. I log onto a website, usually one that sells clothing or jewelry and legit go through the site like I’m shopping. Creating outfits for imaginary and lately, actual events, even putting things in my cart. I don’t checkout, but half of the fun of the game is seeing what’s still there the next time I’m on the site.

I think one of my bosses does the same thing. One day at work, she announced that Target made a shoe not unlike the must have sandal last summer. This immediately turned to the four of us oohing and ahhing over the color selections and what we would wear them with. Target.com is a basically a black hole. I get on there looking for, I don’t know, something polka dot and end up looking at Threshold shelves–that are still sitting on my floor because I can’t put holes in the wall (suggestions are much appreciated).

On Monday, Mother Nature decided to unleash one last blizzard on New York and I was upset. My umbrella blew inside out, the snow was blowing sideways, the back of my hair got wet and yup, curled up on the street. Once I was home and dry, I got in my bed and went on a mental vacation under the covers.

I headed to, you guessed, it Target.com and started looking at sandals, thinking warm thoughts. These are the shoes that I put in my cart–and actually may consider buying.
