This is the thing about fall, it’s everyone’s favorite, yes.

Cue Miranda Priestly’s floral’s for spring eyeroll.

But in my opinion, it’s only fun, for like, the first couple weeks. Basically, it’s all good until you have to put on some tights. Or a coat. Which I refuse to do. I am holding on for bare legs for as long as I can. And as for not wearing a coat, well, I’m making do with a ton of layers.

Once you break that stuff out, you have nothing else to get excited about when you get dressed the rest of the year. AmIRight? I know someone has to feel me on this. Put all the good stuff on now, what do you do when it’s really cold? It just makes me more creative with layering.

All super warm finds courtesy of my last trip to T.J. Maxx. That place is like the best sample sale, ever. With high end designers that you would would have to wait in line to shop if the store was actually a sample sale, for a fraction of the price! Not to mention the sweater department is legit, yall. Especially if you are joining me in my crusade against coats.

My roommate saw me and was like aren’t you cold?! No, I’m not, I have on a two shirts–I’m like an old lady, I like an undershirt and slip, (when applicable)–and a huge chunky sweater. Yes, I have on high-waisted shorts. But, I am wearing really thick sweater-type over-the-knee-socks. I believe it was my blogger boo, Ariel, who commented that OTK socks are a Channing staple.

She wasn’t lying. I was actually kind of hot walking to and from all of my appointments for previews. Maybe because I’m a really fast walker, but probably because I did a really good job layering.

You know what else, I got when I was there last weekend? A nail kit! I’m for real about spending more time on my nails, you guise. I want you to take me serious. See! They’re still painted and I have accent nails.
