Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is legit.

Storytime, y’all.

On Wednesday it was 50 degrees–or so my iPhone said–but coupled with the fact that there was a 30 degree wind chill and I had to be at Drybar at 8am, I was freezing.

I immediately regretted the decision to not wear anything on my legs or a heavier jacket but if I was going to be on time for my appointment–the girl has priorities and more pressing, dirty hair–I couldn’t turn around and change. I must have looked miserable because I got all sorts of pity stares on the train and walking to Drybar holding down the hem of my Rodarte for Target dress.

 

When I left Drybar an hour and forty minutes later, it had only warmed up slightly and I was still cold. I had a press preview at Piperlime and one for Clarks before I could head back into the office AKA warmth.

But by the time my cab (I broke my new self-imposed rule: no cabs before 10pm unless I’ve had more then 3 drinks) reached 30th and 7th, the American Apparal sign tempted me. I dashed in with a mission, a sweater to put on over my dress and another pair of their thigh high socks.

When I was finally at my desk, wearing the sweater and about to pull on the socks, I realized for as cold as I was, I wasn’t ashy. And considering the wind and the windchill–that was quite a feat.

I recently signed on to be an Aveeno Ambassador and am testing out the lotion for the next 3 weeks. I’m just glad the Aveeno kept my skin supple looking. I would have cried if I showed up for the date and one of the guys was like #ByeAshy!
