All of the Brights

All of the Brights

*cue Kanye’s horns*

Extra bright, I want y’all to see thisssss–Is there not a Kanye song for every mood? Don’t answer that unless you love him (in spite of Kim Kardashian and all she represents).

All of the brights was what I thought when I caught a glimpse of myself in a window while out with my mother on Sunday.

It’s funny, I typically am against looking too “match matchy.” My mother will tell you, it’s one of my one style pet peeves in life. It’s so unexpected and cooler looking to not, well, match too much.

I also should tell you that this outfit is unexpected for me for a couple of reasons. Not only does my skirt match my shoes, but my faux leather crop top is black, and I’m only wearing two pieces of jewelry.

Who is this girl?

Wearing: MADE Fashion Week for Impulse Faux Leather Crop Top// J.Crew Fluted Skirt, J.Crew Lillian Patent Low Wedges// Rebecca Minkoff Brett Brief// J.Crew Pearl Pairs Bracelet// BaubleBar Mini Acrylic State Pendant// Illamasqua Jo-Mina polish// Topshop Lip Varnish in High Times

New York, you’ve snuck into my closet! I’ve never owned so much black or faux leather in my life.

My other new favorite thing about New York are the sample sales. My GLAM pink briefcase is from the Rebecca Minkoff sale last week. And I scored my mom’s Mother’s Day gift at the Manolo Blahnik sample sale. She was pleased and so am I with this find.

p.s My mom is stepping out of her comfort zone, too! She typically only wears beige or pale pinks polishes. Lately, she’s been venturing into wearing bright colors on her nails. Right now wearing a pretty purple polish, that I couldn’t help but try myself.
