13 Aug Photographin’ The City
I kind-of miss when my blog read more like a diary. So in an effort to work on that and venture out, actually showing New York life on the blog, I created a bucket list of tourist-y things that I want to do. The idea is I will take the required outfit of the day photos—finally acknowledging the fashion blogger part of me—hopefully have a cool experience, reporting back with a story.
Hold me to it.
And to hold myself accountable, I’m going to tell you the NYC attraction checklist that I have. If I do not report back with outfit photos and a corresponding story for each of these places by August 13, 2015 (giving myself a year to properly plan these excursions), cuss me out.
And because I like to start my To Do lists with things I’ve already done—it makes me feel like I’m off to a good start if I can cross something out early on—a few of these you’ve already seen.
1. Empire State Building (Oh, hey, there you are!)
2. The MET (I mean, I got kicked out once, but was successful this time)
3. The Highline
4. On the Brooklyn Bridge
5. In Madison Square Park
6. At The Plaza (Took pics after tea. Thanks, Mom!)
7. Tiffany & Co (Huge hair, eatin’ a cupcake, guess what, don’t care)
8. Central Park
9. Times Square—Jesus, help me
10. Lincoln Center
11. 560 State Street
12. Grand Central Station
13. The Statue of Liberty (this doesn’t count)
14. The Musuem of Natural History
15. Battery Park
16. The Waldorf Astoria New York
17. New York Botanical Garden
18. Staten Island Ferry
19. 5Pointz Aerosol Art Center
20. The Chrysler Building
21. Coney Island
22. The Brooklyn Musuem
23. The Apollo Theater
24. South Street Seaport
25. Rockefeller Center
26. New York Public Library
27. The Flatiron Building
Wearing: ASOS Dress// DVF Pumps// Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran Tote // Kate Spade Necklace (My mom has the same one!)
Is there anything else that I forgot? This isn’t to say that I haven’t been to all of these places, or even seen them, most of them I have, just that I want to experience them at my leisure. With photos to mark the occasion—making my blog a scrapbook of sorts again.
Essentially, I’m exploring New York City and photographing it. One #OOTD at a time–starting with Park Avenue.
