09 Mar Some Winter
It seems almost silly to post these photos considering the weather is actually nice today.
New York is having some winter.
Let me tell you.
When I first moved here, a winter storm followed shortly after and everyone said this was the worst winter the New York’s experienced in a couple years.
Now, people are saying the same thing, and I’m like… yeah, yeah.
The thing about the super cold days, is that it makes the regular cold days, as desperate (for warmth) as this sounds, feel not so cold. Like wear bare legs to a party not so cold—even though it’s snowing.
That was the case on that snowy Valentine’s Day last month. I didn’t want to wear tights and I figured I would be okay because it was 37 instead of, you know, -6.
A little snow never hurt anyone. Until it did.
Last Thursday, I ventured on into what ended up being a full on blizzard to buy lipstick. For my friends. Because I believe in lipstick and I love them.
And you know, MAC and their collections.
And now that I feel like I’m getting sick, it’s almost 50 degrees.
Figures, right? Let’s just hope it stays this way. I don’t want to have to go back to wearing leggings and thigh high sweater socks under my tights.
I promise I will not gripe and moan about the heat when it finally arrives. No matter how unbearable. I will grin and bear it.
I promise.
