02 Sep New York Minute: MTA Hates Me
I saw that the makings of the escalators have been installed in what will finally be the home of the 2nd Avenue Subway.
Completion is slated for December 2016. Because this subway line has literally been (almost) a hundred years in the making, I guess MTA saw it necessary to work overtime.
At 11:30 p.m. ?
I mentioned earlier this week that I wanted to get into vlogging a bit. I miss doing videos and I want to add another element of storytelling to the blog. So here we are, my first New York Minute. A video of me telling a story, centered around life in New York, in under a minute.
First up? Living at the construction site of the future Second Avenue subway. All I really wanted was a little bit of peace and quiet that night.
New York—MTA, really, said no, girl, no.

Posted at 16:06h, 09 SeptemberIt wouldn’t be New York without the random construction zones.

Posted at 06:44h, 04 SeptemberGirl. ? I feel your pain, except mine is with traffic. Who authorized this construction zone @ 8 am- on a Monday?!

Posted at 12:44h, 10 SeptemberLOL I loved this so hard, especially the eye roll at the end. And I 100% feel your pain between construction, sirens, and random loud New Yorkers having arguments at all times of the day. I feel like the quietest time in NYC is really early on Saturday and Sunday mornings—but it’s pretty rare that I’m up and mobile enough at that time to enjoy it…
