I got back from Oakland on Wednesday, and it seems like I have been playing catch-up ever since. I really didn’t want to leave all that nice weather and come home to torrential downpours.

It was fun and I can’t wait to visit again.

Until then Oakland, we have the memories.

We started off with Kobe sliders and they were delish. Clearly because we demolished those.

After what felt like FOREVER (and a photo op later: you didn’t think the yellow skirt wouldn’t make the trip did you?!), our steaks and sides arrive. It took so long because the meat is cooked, rested, cooked some more and then rested again before brought to the starving customers.

The boy let me taste his Kobe steak. It was quite good. I still enjoyed my filet though. We were stuffed after the dessert plates had been cleared.

Ah, I will miss that place. You know what else I will miss?

Riding in the car and seeing grown men with designs etched in their heads. Oh, and this Honda? How can you not love seeing this kind of foolishness as you go about your day?!
