Channing’s City was Hit by a Tornado!

Channing’s City was Hit by a Tornado!

You guys!!!

I haven’t deserted my blog. In fact, I miss her so much—and you all.  Last Thursday, a tornado wrecked havoc on my town. Trees were uprooted, power lines were knocked to the ground, and I have been without power, telephone, cable or Internet access.

I loved to sit here and tell you I was super brave and didn’t get scared but I would be lying. Especially after the tree in my front ride cracked and fell on my poor car.

This past week has been a freak show. Our house was on the front page of the paper, rude news crews have invaded our neighborhood and we literally could have charged people for stopping and wanting to take pictures.

I won’t complain because things could have been a lot worse. Can I tell you a secret? The anchor in me was ready to grab a camera crew and get the story! But instead I grabbed a hat, and took a bunch of photos for insurance.

Don’t you just love that I’m wearing a maxi dress accessorized just so in a natural disaster? That hat is my grandfather’s… that he doesn’t know I have.

It looked like a scene out of Transformers that night with all the machinery trying to get that tree off the car. In the light of day things didn’t look so bad.

Things relatively calm now, we have power, the car is gone, the tree stump is almost taken up and best of all, an appt with Comcast to get our phone/cable lines/wireless up and running again.

Bye, bye! I’ll miss you 🙁

I have been dying a slow death without Internet and have been hiding out in Panera Bread stealing wifi (where I am now). If you sent me an email and haven’t heard back, I’m not ignoring you!!

To my editors: I appreciate your patience with me 🙂

Please, please, come back once I get my life together! I have so SO many good posts lined up!

We’ll talk soon,

Channing
