Something wonderful has happened. In the last month, I have interacted with more of you ladies than I ever have. And not just in the comments. But on Facebook, Twitter and email.

I love that you have reached out! Whether just to say hey, ask advice or like my dear @247lovesong, ask how I would style a particular piece for Fall.

She noticed that I am a bit obsessed with my black Forever21 maxi dress (i.e I wear it ALL the time on the blog) and wondered how I would transition the dress into Fall because she owns one and isn’t ready to part with it.

Thus: 1 dress, 3 ways.

Maxis are the new leggings for me. Really comfortable and have the potential to be styled however you like. For the first look, I broke out all of my faves.

This look is slightly dressier. Look at me breaking all types of ‘rules’ mixing black and brown. And I don’t hate it. You could substitute a nicer sweater and heels, for an actual dressier look. Oh, and tights, depending on the weather.

This my ‘rainy day’ look which just shows you how impractical I am. This dress is really long on me so that would be a messy hem situation. I think I thought the anorak and J.Crew Rainy Day flats ‘made’ it bad weather appropriate. But this is also a comfy weekend look, if I may say so myself and could be worn with real flats/shoes and a leather jacket.
