Just Walking in the Rain

With the one I love on my miiiiiiiinnnd.

And by the one I love, I mean my blog. Lately, I’ve been thinking that I have this weird attachment to my blog. I couldn’t quite but my figure on why I thought it was weird, though. I figured, it’s a hobby and most people are passionate about their hobbies. Right?

But then I read this article on Independent Fashion Bloggers called, “How Blogging Became My Boyfriend.”

And that’s when I realized that, I too, was dating my blog.

I realize that the above statement maybe the loneliest sentence I ever wrote. But let me share some of the points that stood out to me in the article and maybe you’ll discovering you’re dating one of your hobbies too.Weirdness likes company.

• •  I get dressed up for it pretty much everyday.
  • My parents know my blog, and talk about it up to their friends and the rest of my family.
  • I used to be sort of embarrassed about my blog. I didn’t think anyone would understand, so I kept it mostly to myself. As our relationship has grown, and I’ve molded it into something I’m wildly proud of, and I take it with me everywhere.
  • We occasionally get in really dramatic fights; usually over it’s inability to do exactly what I say.
  • When something really great happens, I tell my blog first.
  • My blog has introduced me to so many great people, and if we ever break up, I hope they choose me.
  • It may not be the biggest, most handsome, strongest and most popular blog out there, but it’s unique, it’s mine, and I love it.
