So my girlfriend in blogging, Ms. Web-Haute Jas herself, proposed that the two of us have a nail art challenge. We would send the other a box of random items, nail polish and see what we were able to create.

Jas sent me the box of goodies above.

I’m not going to lie. I was intimidated. The box sat on my vanity for-what-felt-like-ever taunting me. Jas does amazing nail art. She translates designer collections that come down the runway into nail art.Nail art and I kind of fell out. I used to love it when I was younger. I would always have something funky on my nails in high school. Me and my high school BFF used to do such intricate designs and now I feel like I’ve lost my touch.
Smh.

So, I got to it. Don’t judge. This isn’t my best work. But I will say, I do have a few ideas of things I would like to try.

Let me tell you what’s going on here: on my thumbs and pinkies, I’m wearing L’Oreal Paparazzi Pleaser topped with Milani Jewel FX in Lavender.

On my pointer fingers, I used Paparazzi Pleaser and I cut a sequin in half and placed it at the cuticle.

On my middle fingers, I applied a piece of lace on top of Paparazzi Pleaser. Though, next time, I would use nail glue to nail sure it lays flat.

On my ring finger, I applied Paparazzi Pleaser and then Sinful Colors in Me First diagonally with a swipe of Milani Lavender where to the two colors met.

This is a lot for me. I love the sequin (obvi) and would totally do one on each nail. I also would like to play more with the lace and the Lavender jewels are great, too. So, you might see different elements separately in the near future.

I can’t wait to see what Jas does with the box I sent her. Thanks girlie, for pushing out of my comfort zone 🙂
