28 Mar One Striped Day
You know what living out a suitcase has taught me? Well, technically, I’m not still living out of a suitcase but my closet is two snaps big and I keep refilling my suitcase when I go home, so, there is still stuff in suitcases on the floor of my bedroom, that I do reach into on a daily basis.
I was saying something. Oh, yeah. That living out of a suitcase has taught me a few things. First, I am really good at layering to make an over-worn item look new, and two, I own a lot of stripes. Like, a lot. And I’m still gravitating to them. If we can have a fully honest moment, layering and stripes make me look like I have a cute shape–and bigger boobs. Lastly, I would almost always prefer to wear a dress.
When I saw this striped dress in TJ Maxx, I knew I had to have it. Ladylike but bold and bright. Consider me in love. I don’t even have to tell you that this is a selection from The Runway selection but I think you should know (if you live in the city) that the TJ Maxx at First Avenue and 60th Street is really nice. The area is cute and the actual store looks like a greenhouse. It could have been the time of day I was there, but the store seemed really clean and orderly, too.
So it was super easy for me to stop this dress. And it was love at first site. Channing in the stripes, strikes again.
I’m not mad it at, though. If you had to live out of a suitcase, what pattern or item do you think you’ll unknowingly fill it with?

p.s. Compensation was provided by T.J. Maxx via Glam Media. But I still am in love with this dress and The Runway.
