On Tuesday, I took the the high seas, who am I kidding, the East River with Malibu Rum and Glam. I’ll tell you, there are worst things in the world than to depart from New York Skyport Marina aboard the Cloud Nine 111 for an afternoon testing Malibu Spiced Rum cocktails.

If this is life, I’m not mad at it.

I swear, I didn’t want to do anything but take pictures of the skyline. Perhaps, you’ve noticed my affinity for it, hehe? Anyway, it never gets old me. The weather was pretty amazing too, minus the wind that made me feel like I was going to be the blogger who’s phone went overboard. That would have made the score Water 2, Channing O.

We sailed down the East River and paused at Lady Liberty for photo ops. Let me tell you, nothing makes me feel more at home in my tendency to retake a picture until I’m satisfied then being with other bloggers. Seriously, look at everyone go!

When I wasn’t snapping pictures of the skyline, I was staring at it like a smug little fool. Like, I can’t believe that I live here. Here. In New York City. Maybe, we can blame all the sentimental-ness on the rum? Nah, probably not, right? I’m like this all the time.

After our boat ride, we docked and headed to dinner at the Beekman Beer Garden–a perfect choice with it’s sandy floors and amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge (and the Harvest Moon).

Although, I did survey all of the offerings, and I am please to announced that my favorite is the Spiced Ginger. My co-worker Val recently posted a few recipes, I think I want to try something else now. I’m not ready for summer to end just yet and am trying to squeeze every. single. drop. out before New York Fashion Week starts.

Oh, and while I thought I had all the answers when it came to creating an endless summer, Glam did a pretty good job sending us home with goodies from The Body Shop, Neutrogena, Pantene Pro-V, St. Tropez, Sonia Kashuk, Revlon, Almay and Aveeno. See, this party never has to end!
